Dear reader,

Welcome to our January 2017
"Monthly Round-Up" Newsletter
1st Anniversary

This month sees the first anniversary of our newsletters, a “Monthly Round-up” of articles and posts which we have shared on our website. January has been busy, but has also felt very productive. We were eased into the year with a slightly less formal Post-Diagnostic Support Group meeting where we discussed Autism Pride and raising awareness of Autism in general.

We also have news items from Carly, “Cake of the Month” from Calvin, and of course his reviews for the Axia Film Society. With it being January, Calvin also shared his “10 Best” & “10 Worst” lists reflecting 2016.

We are grateful as always for our Guest Contributions and hope you all enjoy this month's offerings.

Book Review of   “In a Different Key” by John Donvan and Caren Zucker   I really enjoyed this lengthy book which I would describe as complementary to 'Neurotribes' by Steve Silberman. It is very much a USA centred perspective although it has interesting things to say about the situation here in the UK.   These journalists paint engaging pictures …
