Dear reader,

Welcome to our March 2017
"Monthly Round-Up" Newsletter

What an exciting month we’ve had here at Axia, leaving Winter and entering Spring. We officially published our first book at the beginning of March, written by Dream over Christmas and titled “Mental Models of Reality”, whilst Calvin launched the “Anime Amigo’s Vlog” which he hosted with Reece.

Our March meeting of the Post-Diagnostic Support Group was also extremely fruitful as we discussed Autism Awareness and the theme of “Masking” for our 2018 Conference.

And there’s more! Along with the usual news and reviews from Carly and Calvin, we’ve also posted the first chapter of a book from a guest contributor, Elliot Chapman, which you can read here.

Please enjoy.

“POWER RANGERS (2017)” If there was one show I watched as a kid it was Power Rangers. This was awesome. I was into things like Ninja Turtles, but these things felt like the spiritual successor to them, it had everything, fight scenes, super heroes, monsters to battle, giant robots. I knew the show was formulated, but it was a formula …

Supporting Prisoners Who Have Autism   Mental Health Today Sophie Goodchild March 2017. At HMP Young Offenders Institute Feltham in London, cell curtains must remain open in daytime or inmates face being disciplined. “KONG: SKULL ISLAND” Most of the summer blockbusters traces back to Jaws. I think Jaws probably was the film that started the idea of the Summer blockbuster, because it proved you could make a movie on that scale and sell it in the Summer holidays. But I don’t think it’s the original blockbuster. For my money, the film that created …
