Joint statement:
Today the Government has responded to the House of Lords’ report, ‘Time to deliver: the Autism Act and the new autism strategy’. As the autism charity sector, we stand together to say the Government’s response is unacceptable.
We see no evidence that the Government intends to develop a new national autism strategy, or do anything meaningful in compliance with the Autism Act or in response to the House of Lords inquiry. Despite the legal requirement and the expiry of the existing strategy in June, no timeline is provided.

This government needs shaking up big time, this is now 2026, There was generation failures in my time, and still failing our Child and families,
This is from somebody who knows first hand, has lived experience, of experiencing failure after failure and negligence in many, many, areas of the so called system that’s not fit for purpose.
This is shocking in this day and age, actions speak louder than words.
The government needs to give their heads a shake, and listen to the voices of lived experience first hand, Let start with start with inclusion.
