Axia provides Hypermobility assessments for adults and children.
The assessment explores relevant experiences associated with hypermobility, such as fatigue, daily pain, and joint instability.
No GP referral is required, and you can self-refer directly to Axia. Assessments may be completed online or in person depending on the requirements of the assessment.

- Normally one main appointment is required, although a screening call may sometimes be arranged beforehand.
Our Team
Axia is a family-run service established in 1998. Our multidisciplinary team includes Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and a Mental Health Nurse.
Service delivery
This is a non-physical service and no shipping is required. Your appointment date and delivery format will be agreed directly with Axia. Following the assessment, Axia provides a detailed assessment outcome and report. Where appropriate, the outcome can be shared with relevant healthcare professionals and recorded within NHS records.

This appointment helps us understand what has brought you to us and what you would like support with. Together, we can explore if a hypermobility assessment or another of our pathways may be the most appropriate option for your individual circumstances.
You may leave feeling confident that a full assessment is the right next step, or we may identify another service or assessment that better suits your needs. If you go on to book a full assessment, the cost of your Pre-assessment can be deducted from the assessment price.
