At Axia, we offer Cognitive Assessments for both children and adults with a variety of neurological conditions. These assessments observe a number of skills such as memory, processing speed, visuospatial reasoning, verbal comprehension and reasoning, to name a few. Assessments, and the tests within them, are tailored to each individual with regards to their age, ability and additional special needs or disabilities. All cognitive assessments are completed to the highest standards of best practice and are accepted by NHS services.

We are also able to offer the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence, the WASI and the Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales. These are two of the most widely used standardised assessments in clinical psychology, neuropsychology and special education. They assess two distinct but complementary halves of a person’s psychological profile; cognitive potential verses real world independence. This can be especially important for somebody who is enquiring as to whether they meet the criteria for services for people with intellectual disability (learning disability services).
