Mum of severely autistic son speaks over daily struggles after he was attacked in Chester pub
 
 
A mum has spoken out about her son’s battle with autism, saying she encounters ‘ignorance’ on a daily basis in Chester as people do not understand the condition.
Lynn Stott’s 30-year-old son Negus struggles to communicate verbally but has an easy-going nature and likes to shake hands with strangers, or sometimes even hug them.

His autism is towards the most severe end of the spectrum and Lynn describes him as simply ‘an over-friendly lad’.

But too often his condition is misunderstood, she says.
