We recently posted an article from the NAS on how the law on mental health is changing. The UK Government have published a summary of the main changes proposed, stating:

We (the UK government) want to let you know about the changes we are proposing to improve care for people who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA). This document:

      • summarises the main changes proposed, which are available in the full White Paper
      • tells you where you can find out more information
      • explains how you can tell us what you think about the changes.
      • explains how the proposals relate to Wales
