Axia ASD Remain Open as an Essential Service

Further to the Government’s announcement on Monday evening, we would like to confirm that Red Hill House will remain open and that we are still able to conduct face to face assessments.

The Management and staff at Red Hill House are taking safety measures extremely seriously and the Axia team would like to thank them all for their ongoing support during these difficult times.

I would like to remind those due to visit us for an appointment that all staff and visitors are required to wear masks in the communal areas of the building, unless exempt. We are observing the Social Distancing rule of 2 metres and have hand sanitiser available in all of our clinic rooms and offices, in addition to those positioned around the building. Visitors are reminded to keep themselves and others safe by using the hand sanitiser provided before entering and leaving the building. Our clinic rooms allow the space for Social Distancing of 2 metres so families and individuals can remove their masks, if wearing, once inside the room should they feel more comfortable in doing so.

In addition to the above measures, which have been in place for quite some time, there is now also a separate entrance and exit to the building to avoid congestion at the front door of the building.

When attending for your appointment with us, please send just one person to the front door to use the intercom to let Reception know that you are here. You will then be asked to wait outside or in your car until a member of the Axia team collects you.

Should you need to cancel your appointment as you are feeling unwell, please contact us as soon as possible to make us aware and we can then look to rearrange this for you. If you would like to have a Microsoft Teams appointment, rather than a face to face, this can be arranged for you. If you would like to have a virtual appointment, please consider the following:

  • You must be on time for your appointment. It is a formal assessment and will be conducted in the same manner as a face to face meeting.
  • If you are concerned about using Microsoft Teams, please contact our Admin Team and they will be happy to arrange a test meeting with you prior to your appointment.
  • Please ensure you are able to charge the device you are using during the assessment as video calls can drain your battery quickly.
  • Please ensure that the clinician can clearly see you during the appointment. If they are assessing your child, they will need to be able to see them to observe them and speak with them, if appropriate.

Should you have any questions or concerns about your upcoming appointment with us, please do not hesitate to contact us by email: enquiries@axia-asd.co.uk or telephone: 01244 567656

Thank you and stay safe.
