Linkedin – Tourettes Action’s Post on Emma McNally Attending Parliament

The screening was made possible thanks to the passion and determination of musician Paul Stanworth, who, following the BAFTA incident, approached Dawn Butler MP to discuss the film and the wider issues facing the Tourette community. Dawn’s support and commitment helped bring this important conversation into Parliament, and we are incredibly grateful to them both for making it happen.

Following the screening, Emma joined Dawn Butler MP, Paul Stanworth, paul stevenson, Kirk Jones and Dr Jeremy Stern for a Q&A discussion. One of the key themes explored was how accurately I Swear portrays the experience of those with Tourettes and their families. Many trying to understand what is happening, often without answers, guidance or support.

Sadly, this is a story we hear every day at Tourettes Action.
