PDSG on 27th January 2021

Hello everyone,

Thank you to all of those who completed the feedback from. One of the main points brought to light from these forms was that people would like the sessions to be a little more interactive. We’ve done a lot of head scratching, thinking of ways that we can achieve this, as with the virtual set up it’s increasingly difficult to mimic the face-to-face sessions we are used to.

Our next PDSG session, which is going to be held on the 27th January, will be on the topic of empathy. We’re hoping to make this session more interactive and therefore invite people to email us if you are interested in discussing your personal experiences with empathy. You don’t need to speak for very long or necessarily need to have anything pre-prepared, we would just love to hear your thoughts and personal experiences. Please email enquiries@axia-asd.co.uk with your interest.

The session will run as follows:

  • Item 1 – ‘The Myth of Empathy’ – a presentation by Dr Linda Buchan
  • Item 2 – Q&A session on what has been discussed in the presentation.
  • Item 3 – Personal experiences of empathy, for those who would like to be involved.

If you are interested in attending the session, please send an email to enquiries@axia-asd.co.uk which includes your name (or the name of the person that was assessed by us) and date of birth. We will then contact you with a guide to the session and a link to attend. We look forward to seeing you, and would suggest you BYOC – Bring Your Own Cake !’

Yours sincerely,
