WINTER 2014

I know I must sound like a broken record but wow what a busy last quarter we have had! There has been a definite increase in referrals received and we currently have a waiting time of 5 weeks upon receipt of funding approval.

I wanted to take this opportunity to go into a little bit more detail regarding the answering of our telephone number 01244 56 76 56. In an attempt to keep the length of the voicemail to a minimum I do not explain things fully (I feel). Phone calls will be answered (wherever possible) from 9.15 am and 2.45 pm Monday to Friday. If calls are received outside of these hours, please feel welcome to leave a voice mail message and I will endeavour to return your call as soon as possible. There may be a slight delay in responding to your enquiry if I need to seek advice from Dr Buchan or other members of staff in order to provide a full response when I do call back. I am also out of the office most Thursdays and therefore you may experience difficulties when trying to get through to me on these days.

Now on to some very positive news…. Our Dyspraxia Conference which was held at Chester Racecourse on Friday 10 October 2014 was a beaming success. Despite some nerves (and uncontrollable shaking from myself) the presentations were well received and we had a very interactive, informal session during the day, sharing the enormous amount of expertise in the room, answering questions and sharing experiences. We received some excellent feedback from the attendees of the day and we were very proud to have run such a successful event. We hope to run another event the same time next year so watch this space!

The Axia Film Society is now well under way and we are receiving some very interesting comments, please keep them coming in.

This week both myself and Linda attended the ChAPS Annual Conference held at Halton Stadium where we heard Dean Beadle speak and promoted our services to the many attendees on the day, including raising awareness of Autism Inclusive in the process.

Linda’s shoulder is healing well, Calvin is currently visiting India and Carly recently married. I did say it had been a busy quarter!!!

I hope you are enjoying my news items, however, if you feel any information is missing or if you would like an update on any other aspect of Axia ASD Ltd please feel welcome to leave a comment, email Carly (carly@axia-asd.co.uk) or telephone 01244 56 76 56.
