Why I Bothered to Pursue an Autism Diagnosis at 63 Years Old

Hi Carly,

I came across this on “The Mighty” website and wondered if it might be possible/ appropriate to include it on the Axia contributions “page” ?

It kind of is on the lines of what was being discussed at the recent PDSG, and online, about coping as one gets older.

I hope all is well at Team Axia, thank you so much for being there.
Kindest regards
Helen Jones

Thanks for sharing this article Helen, it was an extremely interesting read (which I found I resonated with much of), and is indeed very relevant to the discussion started at the last P-D.S.G.

  2. Terri says:

I was 62 when I had my diagnosis last year and as the author of this piece says it didn’t cure anything but explained a lot and even just that makes life just a little easier.
    Thanks, Helen, for posting.

Hi Terri, thank you for this.
I was 60 when diagnosed, after living all that time feeling “wrong and alienesque” it did explain alot I agree.
