Axia Weekly Bulletin – 27/8/21

Another busy week here at Axia with our clinicians carrying out excellent work, as always.

Just a reminder to those of you who are due to visit us for face-to-face appointments, all staff and visitors are required to wear masks in the communal areas of the building, unless exempt. We are still observing the Social Distancing rule of 2 metres and have hand sanitiser available in all of our clinic rooms and offices, in addition to those positioned around the building. Visitors are reminded to keep themselves and others safe by using the hand sanitiser provided before entering and leaving the building. Our clinic rooms allow the space for Social Distancing of 2 metres so families and individuals can remove their masks, if wearing, once inside the room should they feel more comfortable in doing so. There is now also a separate entrance and exit to the building to avoid congestion at the front door.

If you have a virtual appointment with us, please see the post: ‘Advice for those Attending Virtual Appointments’.

This week a new study was launched, “Spectrum 10K” which you can read about here.

It was also noticed during Wednesdays PDSG that the Adult Autism Spectrum Cohort – UK are still seeking participants for their own study, which you can read about here.

Thank you to Hannah Williamson for her presentation on “Autism and Later Life” for our PDSG, the video to which will be made available in the coming days.

This week, Cal reviewed Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, which you can read all about here!

Cal and Ren played Dark Souls on Tuesday. If you missed it, you can find it here!

There will be a stream tonight, you can catch it on Calvin’s channel here.

Please Note: Some content may not be suitable for younger audiences.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Thanks for putting up Hannah’s presentation soon. My local internet system was experiencing some problems that day. However, I just about managed to see enough of it to get a very good impression of it. Unfortunately, I was not able to contribute anything to the interaction myself. I’m looking forward to viewing it again in more depth, and think it high likely that I will have some positive comments to add. I tried to say something at the time, but had to reconnect a few times. 🙂
