“AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON” I don’t think there is a film I have been more looking forward to seeing this year. I love the original Avengers film, in fact it’s probably by favourite Superhero Movie and in my Top Ten Favourite Films of all time. I would almost say it was a perfect film and…

“BATMAN VS ROBIN” Well this is a first for me! I always knew I was going to review all 3 of DC’s animated movies that come out this year but I never expected to be doing this! I am virtually reviewing an iTunes exclusive! I am saying that because at the time of writing this…

“JOHN WICK” Yes, I’m surprised that this film has taken this long to come out too. John Wick was a film that was heavily promoted in the States and on the Internet in October 2014 for it’s US release and to be honest when I first saw the trailers and the posters and the story…

“FAST AND FURIOUS 7” Yeah I’m not really a fan of these movies. Even the first one which is probably the best I would argue is a bit over-rated but the least I would say is a lot of the Fast and Furious films had an identity in the early days. I think this has…

“SEVENTH SON” Yes, I was never going to win this week. Everything that was coming out, I just didn’t want to see, so I just bit the bullet and went to see Seventh Son, which seemed the best option of the bunch, considering the cast of people who I really like, including the recent Oscar…

“THE TALE OF THE PRINCESS KAGUYA” I love Studio Ghibli they developed some of my favourite films of all time and it is by far my favourite film series of all time, even though the films don’t technically connect with one another. Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle are definitely two of my top ten…

“X + Y” Thanks goodness Dr Buchan found this film for me because there was literally nothing else I wanted to see this week. I wasn’t really meant to be seeing this film, I was supposed to be seeing the new Ron Howard movie “In the Heart of the Sea”, but then I get told…

“KILL THE MESSENGER” You know, I wouldn’t have picked this movie. Honestly this wasn’t the one I would have picked for this weeks review, I would have reviewed Chappie, not that I didn’t think Kill The Messenger had some merit to it, I saw the trailers and it looked promising. But I wouldn’t have picked…

“SECOND BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL” Did you ever see a film that you like is getting a sequel, and at first you are really happy that it is getting a sequel and then you stop and think ‘why is this film getting a sequel’. That’s the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for me this year. I…

“JUSTICE LEAGUE: THRONE OF ATLANTIS” Yes I promised I was going to review all the DC animated movies this year and that is definitely a promise that I am going to try my best to keep, but expect this to be the only one of these films that I am going to review in the…

“SELMA” Well the BAFTA’s have been and gone and my highlight was Stephen Beresford and David Livingstone winning the award for outstanding debut by a British writer, director or Producer for their work on one my favourite films of last year, Pride. Though as usual most of my picks for each award failed to succeed…

“BIG HERO 6” When I started the Axia Film Society at an Autism Inclusive meeting back in August 2014, one of the request I got was to do a couple of Disney Films when I got the chance. The downside to that was, that there wasn’t that many Disney Films coming out at that time.…

“KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE” I never made a top ten anticipated movie 2015 list, but if I did I can tell you that Kingsman The Secret Service would have definitely made it. For a start it’s based on a comic by Mark Miller the creator of Kick Ass. (In fact it’s revealed in the Kick…

“GIOVANNI’S ISLAND” Yes, I know it’s very close to my last anime review but there’s not that many times this year that I will get to review an anime film so I am taking this one, since it’s available. Giovanni’s Island has been catching people’s attention for most of 2014 since its premiere in Japan…

“TAKEN 3” You know I really think 2015 is going to be one helluva year for films, especially when we are going to look back on it at the end of year. But I’m not sure January is what we are going to remember. I wanted to start off the year in style so I…

TOP TEN BEST FILMS 2014 I always find that my best list never really matches up with a lot of other critics best lists, but now I have a platform to publish mine I am just going to say, whatever, these are the ones that I enjoyed the most. Once again these are in no…

TOP TEN WORST FILMS OF 2014 Its been a helluva year for films this year and I have decided to cap it off with my highlights for all the right and wrong reasons this year. I would like to also make it clear that this is my list and it does not reflect the opinions…

“BIG EYES” For my final review of 2014 I am reviewing Tim Burton’s latest film and probably what will potentially become the most under rated film of the year! I have been very interested in this film for quite some time, ever since Nostalgia Critic reviewed the previous Tim Burton film, Alice in Wonderland. In…
