For those who don’t know me, I’m Kirstie. I’m the project development coordinator here at AI and a trustee.
At the start of July, I will be training as an Irlen Screener/assessor. After finding out that both my daughters have Irlen, severely and how their quality of life has improved since wearing filtered glasses, yet finding the whole process quite challenging and expensive I decided to start the training process myself.
So, together with the support of AI, I’m finally doing it. As part of my training process I have to assess a number of people of varied ages. So….if you think you or a family member has Irlen and would like an assessment then EMAIL me at kirstie.scott@autisminclusive.org.uk, I will then get back to you for some additional information and consent.
I’m only training as an assessor currently so I won’t be able to do a filter test as yet, but watch this space! The initial assessments can be costly (£80 average) but as it forms part of my training I’m offering it for free to AI members. All I ask is a donation of £10 (or more if you can) per assessment which will go back into the charity.
I’ve attached the Irlen website below if you would like more info on Irlen but feel free to email me too.
Thank you,
Kirstie 💕
