September PDSG presentation with Dr Luke Beardon

‘How to feel safe as an Autistic person’

Axia PDSG Sept. 2022 with Dr Luke Beardon

A huge thank you to Luke for his thoughtful and insightful presentation on “Autistic Safety” which was a private presentation specifically for those attending Axia’s Post-Diagnostic Support Group meetings.

We have an edited version for those who could not attend, and Luke has kindly agreed to share his slides, both of which are below.

Unfortunately we had issues with the microphone in the first half of the recording, which we will endeavour to fix for the next PDSG.

Listening to this a second time – I realize how much precious information it contains, brilliant presentation that was – I’ve been trying to communicate this to the authorities: IF the SETTING isn’t right, your performance is going to suck.

  2. Senor says:

When difficulties occur, it always helps to be able to consult the video and presentation slides later. It always helps that Luke likes to keep his audience enthralled. And we thoroughly appreciate Linda and Dre’s constant efforts to keep usc
all out of harm’s way! 🙂

  3. Helen Jones says:

I found Luke’s presentation valuable and life affirming.
Huge thanks to him and to Axia for all they do.
I also took inspiration from Linda when she spoke afterwards, including the advice to not ruminate on things.
I’m hanging on to her words in my mind.
    Thank you so much.
