Axia Weekly Bulletin – 10th July

Another busy week here at Axia, with seven diagnosticians carrying out fantastic work.

This week, we had the honour to announce Luke Beardon’s new research project. This is wonderful news and some of you may remember him discussing it when he presented at our Post Diagnostic Support Group. Many of you there were keen to be involved and this will be a fantastic opportunity for the autistic voice to be heard in a prestigious research project. You can see details of how to be a part of this brilliant project here.

We posted the first ebulletin from West Cheshire Autism Hub, which outlines the plans for this new and exciting social environment. You can read about what will be on offer here.

Also, this week, we posted the latest Anime Amigos vlog – Episode 37: best and worst of Spring. If you haven’t already, be sure to watch for some great critiques and lots of humour.

We were scheduled to meet for our Post Diagnostic Support Group on Wednesday 15th July. However, as we are unable to meet face to face, we will be posting a presentation from Sarah Hendrickx about Autistic people’s experiences during ‘Lockdown’, both positive and negative.

Calvin and Ren have been busy with their usual streams this week, Tuesday was ‘The Last of Us’, Wednesday was ‘Jackbox’ and later will be ‘Final Fantasy IX’ where they will be playing and perhaps sharing their thoughts about the game with it being the 20th anniversary of its release. They will be streaming live at 7:30pm tonight.

I wish you all a lovely weekend.
