Many thanks to Esme Hayes, our guest speaker at Wednesday’s Post-Diagnostic Support Group.
The presentation was based around a literature search on the current thinking regards “Dissociation/Dissociative Identity Disorder”.
This topic is extremely complex, and perhaps still a little controversial within the medical community, whilst misconstrued by some non-medical people on social media. Esme presents a balanced review of the literature to date, and explains some of the language and concepts around Dissociation, and the differences to Dissociative Identity Disorder.
For those unable to attend our PDSG, the recording is available below.
During the presentation, Linda suggested we put the Neurodiversity Model slide and the Transition Curve on the website again, which were referred to during the presentation.
The Information Pack can be found within our “Post Assessment Documents” page under the “Links” menu item above.
