Recently Dr. Luke Beardon invited me to attend BBC Radio Sheffield to record a conversation for “The Listening Project”. Out of the wonderful hour and 35 minute chat, it appears they have whittled it down to just over 3 minutes to Broadcast on Radio Sheffield a number of times tomorrow, Wednesday 20th July – (tbc) 7.50am, 11.08am, 2.40pm and 5.50pm. Radio 4 will also apparently be broadcasting this around September.
The BBC have described this clip as
“Luke and Dream: Meeting of Minds”
“Dream has Asperger Syndrome and Luke is a senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University’s Autism Centre. They met at a conference in 2015 and have kept in touch mainly by email, sharing thoughts on issues like autism and philosophy. For the first time they talk about how they regard their relationship and what they value about it.”
The full conversation between Luke and I will be archived in the British Library, and I hope to make it available on Axia’s website in the very near future. Clike here to listen to the clip or click on the image below.
