RHS Flower Show Tatton Park
Hillary Newhall CMLI, is thrilled to announce that her Terrace Garden show entry for the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2024 has been accepted.
Hilary is looking forward to creating a space that not only showcases her talent as a Landscape Architect but also brings attention to the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces for autistic adults. Her dedication to this cause is a testament to her passion and commitment to raising awareness of autism in adults.

A potted history
The RHS Flower Show Tatton Park was first held in 1999 and has since welcomed thousands of visitors through the gates.
Over the years the RHS has introduced different garden categories and features such as the RHS National Young Designer Competition in 2009, a themed category that changes annually which has included Orchestra Gardens and Galaxy Gardens, the RHS National Flower Bed Competition, the Summer Fruit & Veg Competition marquee and a Ladies’ Day in 2011.
These additions have made Tatton Park a show that relishes fresh ideas and innovation.
Community organisations have also played a large part in the show’s identity with charities, schools, local authorities and prisons being involved every year.

• Number of exhibitors at first show: 340
• During show week visitors consume, on average, 14,397 cups of tea, 36,483 cups of coffee, 305 Champagne bottles, 13,866 Pimm’s glasses, 3,508 fish & chips and 6,653 pork rolls

Look thorough the keyhole and see Hilary’s RHS show garden.
The show garden, titled “The Secret Garden: For Us, By Us,” is being created by Hilary.
The Garden has been inspired by the concept of a safe and tranquil space, for an autistic adult. Drawing from the “The Secret Garden” book by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Which resonated with Hilary as a child.
Hilary’s Contractor
Hilary is working with contractor, Mitch Salthouse and consultant, Gareth Wilson, who have won several prestigious RHS awards at previous shows.
