Calvin has alerted us to the fact that there are still some extremely prominent groups of Anti Vaxers on social media whom we need to be aware of. As facebook blocks groups who use ‘Anti Vaxers’ in their name or posts, many have been finding ways around this by using other terms.
Please be mindful that if you see posts or groups using expressions such as ‘Medical Freedom’, ‘Medical Choice’ or worryingly ‘Informed Consent’ (you may recognise the last term from our own practice in gaining consent for an assessment to proceed) that they may likely be an Anti Vaxer group.
