Axia Weekly Bulletin – 25th September

Another busy week here at Axia with our clinicians carrying out excellent work.

Further to the Government’s announcement this week, Red Hill House have requested that staff and visitors wear masks in the communal areas of the building. Of course, some visitors will be exempt, but we politely ask you to follow the guidance wherever possible. We are still observing the Social Distancing rule of 2 metres and have hand sanitiser available in all of our clinic rooms and offices, in addition to those positioned around the building. Visitors are reminded to keep themselves and others safe by using the hand sanitiser provided before entering and leaving the building. Our clinic rooms allow the space for Social Distancing of 2 Metres so families and individuals can remove their masks, if wearing, once inside the room should they feel more comfortable in doing so.

There were mixed emotions in the Axia Team this week as we said goodbye a valued member of the Admin Team, Maja, who has gone to begin a Journalism Course at University. We were sad to see her leave us but we were equally excited and proud to see her go and pursue her further education. Maja might have gone from the office but will still be working with us (when her studies permit) and we are glad to keep her as a part of the Team. Good luck Maja – we know you will be amazing!

This week we posted an article from ‘Mental Health Today: Study address declining student mental wellbeing’, which highlights the impact that ‘Lockdown’ has had on many students and suggests strategies and funding to be put in place to tackle this problem.

Calvin has been busy keeping track of the new console and game releases over the past couple of weeks and he also posted a game review, which I know took him a while to complete, of Marvel’s Avengers’. I will leave it to you to read thoughts on this game!

‘The Film Society’ also has a new review today following Calvin’s cinema visit last week to see ‘Bill and Ted Face the Music’ which I was really excited to read, being a fan of the original films. You can read his views on this here. He is at the cinema again today so look out for another film review this time next week.

Calvin and Ren were streaming, as usual, this week, continuing with ‘The Last of Us Part II’ and completing ‘Final Fantasy IX’ on Friday night. They will be back at 7:30pm tonight, playing a “random” game. Next Friday they will begin playing ‘MediEvil’ to begin their Halloween themed special streams.

I wish you all a lovely weekend.
