Post-Diagnostic Support Group
17th July 2019

50 people were in attendance and two assistance dogs.

Today’s session was a question and answer session with Linda. Some questions had been received in advance and some were delivered on the day. The session was recorded and is available by clicking HERE

After the question and answer session we had the usual break with cakes. The cake of the month was: Banana and Pineapple Cake.

Lynn Jones from Reeseheath College then gave a brief description of the Forest College and also regarding an Autism open day at Reeseheath College which we are encouraging as many people as possible to attend.

Linda went on to talk about the portrayal of Autism in the media currently, in two soaps; Hollyoaks and Eastenders.

Linda encouraged everyone to book for the North Wales Autism Conference as the line-up is second to none.

Linda spoke about Sue and Linda going to the Westminster Commission to get an update for NHS England.

She also spoke about the new Chief Executive of the National Autistic Society.

The Q & A format was great and produced some very interesting stuff. Maybe a Q & A could become an annual event?

  2. Linda Buchan says:

More than happy to do that
